Our Plans and expectations in the next few months.
Our plans for the next few months/years is to only breed for tortoiseshell and dominant spot, possibility of dominant spot tortoiseshell, syrian hamsters. Therefore we have no pics at present but there will be plenty of pictures of our upcoming tortoiseshell and dominant spot girls and our black, yellow and yellow/black boys in the next few weeks.
We now also have our lovely yellow dominant spot rex shorthaired boy Yakutian to add this element to our breeding programme. Yakutian has given us two lovely litters so far so we will have some rex in the next 5-6 months I'm sure.
We will have other colours of syrians pop up in the litters but females will be mainly tortoiseshell in future litters.
We will be aiming at black, yellow, golden and hopefully dove tortoiseshell females and maybe some of these in dominant spot and dominant spot tort as well eventually.
We will have dominant spot bucks available ocassionally as well as the normal varieties that will appear in our litters.
We have added the rust gene to our genepool so we may also have chocolate and rust babies in the months to come.
We have cut back dramatically over the last months due to family circumstances but we are now breeding a few litters of dominant spot and tortoiseshell babies.
Lippizaner my lovely satin dove girl, who may be tort, has given birth recently to a litter with Lusitano our longhaired dove boy. We are excitedly waiting for these babies to wander out of the nest so we can see what we have in there!
We are hoping for both normal and satin coats in dove and 'praying' for a cinnamon!
